About us

It’s been more than 30 years since we started making clothes for enthusiastic mountaineers and professionals. We are based in the Czech Republic, right on the doorstep of the Šumava National Park.

We invent all our products here and sew them ourselves in our workshop just off the square in Susice. Our goal is to present a product that makes real sense, that won’t let you down in the mountains and that you can rely on in all circumstances.

Our products are sophisticated to the last detail. We use materials that will meet your expectations and allow you to perform at the highest level.

We’re here so you can be outside and enjoy it to the fullest.

The emergence of Sport Schwarzkopf
Zikmund and his brother Zdeněk founded the company SPORT SCHWARZKOPF. With the first money they earn, they buy sewing machines and materials and set up shop in the partially repaired Schwarzkopf Villa on the banks of the Otava River, on the site where the 19th century Schwarzkopf was built in the 19th century. century, the first tanneries were built and the large-scale production of outdoor equipment began.

Cooperation with Radek Jaroš
At the end of the 1990s, the company employed almost 40 employees and specialized in more demanding products - jackets. Schwarzkopf jackets are quickly gaining fame among hikers, climbers and the general public and are becoming synonymous with premium quality and high functionality. After his first ascent of Mount Everest, Radek Jaroš, then a young and confident climber, came to Schwarzkopf and had a sleeping bag and jacket made to suit the conditions on the highest peaks. This is the beginning of our cooperation with the current best Czech climber, whom we subsequently dress on all his expeditions.

Crown of the Himalayas
Radek Jaroš, one of the first permanent members of the High Point climbing team, climbs the fourteenth eight-thousandth peak in the world. On 26. On July 2014, he entered the mountaineering hall of fame as the fifteenth person in the world to conquer all eight-thousanders without the use of an oxygen device. Jaroš climbed the summit of K2, an 8611 m high mountain, which was the last one to resist him, on his fifth attempt and thus became the first Czech to complete the "Crown of the Himalayas".

New opportunities
As the first in the Czech Republic, the workshop in Susice has the opportunity to produce from Pertex Shiled Air. A nanomembrane that opens the door to completely different parameters and thus the possibility of producing true technological and functional gems. One step further again. Of course, this is also interesting for foreign clients who are interested in honest production with a long tradition, and so the products in smaller batches also reach the German market for outdoor specialties. Another significant progress is the establishment and renewal of cooperation with state organisations such as the Police of the Czech Republic, the IRS or the Šumava National Park. Professionals in these ranks have been using HIGH POINT clothing and equipment for many years and that is why they keep coming back.

S Radkem jsme začali spolupracovat v roce 1998. Od té doby bez našeho vybavení na výpravu nevyrazil.

Radek Jaroš je nejúspěšnějším českým himálajským profesionálním horolezcem. Specialista na expedice s malým počtem členů. Své výstupy absolvuje výhradně bez použití kyslíkového přístroje a pomoci výškových nosičů. V roce 2014 Radek úspěšně vylezl na poslední, čtrnáctou osmitisícovku – K2 a vstoupil do síně slávy světového horolezectví. Stal se prvním Čechem a teprve 15. člověkem na světě, který takto získal Korunu Himálaje.

Petra oblékáme na všechna jeho dobrodružství a výpravy již od roku 2016.

Petr Jan Juračka je jeden ze současných předních fotografů přírody. Jeho oborem jsou fotografie přírody, které mnohdy ukazují nečekané příběhy fenomény, kterým se Petr mj. věnuje na Přírodovědecké fakultě Univerzity Karlovy.

Jako přírodovědec, ale také jako fotograf a dokumentarista procestoval s fotografickou a filmařskou technikou Afriku, Asii, Grónsko, střední Ameriku, Jižní Ameriku, Austrálii či Japonsko.

Česká manažerka a horolezkyně, která jako první Češka zdolala tři nejvyšší hory světa – Mount Everest, K2 a Kanchenjungu a celkem stanula na vrcholech pěti osmitisícovek.

Klára je první Češkou, která zdolala tři nejvyšší hory na Zemi. Po výstupu na Mount Everest (8.848 m n.m.) v roce 2007, stanula Klára v roce 2019 na vrcholech hned dvou osmitisícovek – posvátné Kanchenjungy (8.586 m n.m.) a nedlouho poté i na okouzlující a nemilosrdné druhé nejvyšší hoře světa K2 (8.611 m n.m.).

We started working with Radek in 1998. He hasn’t set out on an expedition since without our equipment.

Radek Jaroš is the most successful Czech Himalayan professional climber. Specialist in expeditions with a small number of members. He completes his ascents exclusively without the use of oxygen equipment and the help of altitude carriers. In 2014, Radek successfully climbed the last, fourteenth eight-thousanders peak – K2 and entered the world mountaineering hall of fame. He became the first Czech and only the 15th. the man in the world who won the Crown of the Himalayas in this way.

Petr Jan Juračka is one of today’s leading nature photographers. His field of expertise is nature photography, which often shows unexpected stories of phenomena, which Petr has been studying at the Faculty of Science of Charles University.

As a naturalist, but also as a photographer and documentary filmmaker, he has travelled with photographic and filming equipment through Africa, Asia, Greenland, Central America, South America, Australia and Japan.
